For any of those interested in studying modern day cults (i.e Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism, Hebrew Roots Movements, etc.), there is usually a large collection of apologetics material that can be found both on the internet and in print. However, within urban areas, the Black Hebrew Israelite movement has continued to grow and develop and to date, there aren’t many resources dedicated to it. Because this is a movement that affects many African-American churches within urban areas, I am particularly concerned about it.

Fortunately, a blogger named Vocab Malone has spent the past several months openly dealing with the claims of this movement. I commend his resources to anyone who is interested and will be confronting this group in the future.

Other resources on this movement includes CARM and The Apologetics Index. There is also an urban apologetics conference this year which will address the Hebrew Israelite Movement. It’s my hope that more attention will be brought to this movement so feel free to spread these resources around.
