Over the past several years, I’ve completed a number of personal projects on this blog site. I’ve decided to use this blog post to consolidate these projects.
A Baptist Larger Catechism
During 2014 – 2015, I embarked on a project of completing a Baptist Larger Catechism. This was intended to be a Particular Baptist version of the Westminster Larger Catechism, in which a thorough discussion of Baptist distinctives has been given in catechetical form. With the assistance of many brothers in the Lord, the final form of the Baptist Larger Catechism can be found on this PDF link.
Meditations on the Lord’s Supper
During 2017, I embarked on a project of writing a collection of communion meditations. This was intended to be a series of theological devotions based on the Reformed view of the Lord’s Supper. I’ve decided to compile these communion meditations into a PDF document.
Race and Rhetoric: Honoring Christ with Our Words
During February 2019, my wife and I were asked to speak at a conference called Building Bridges Instead of Barriers: Reforming Race Relations in the Church based on our experience in Reformed churches and based upon the ongoing discussion of race/ethnicity within Reformed and Presbyterian Churches. My wife’s speech can be found here. My speech deals with (i) my personal testimony of conversion and how the Lord led me to being a member of a Reformed church, (ii) the topic of justice within the context of racial strife, (iii) the politicization of the church in regards to dealing with ethnic strife, and (iv) the consequences of our politicized environment. My written speech can be found here.
